Changelog
Every release so far, in plain language. Versions before 0.7.8 were pre-release test builds.
The current release is 0.7.8, verified September 6, 2026 with 271 automated safety checks passing at packaging.
0.7.8 — The customer release
- The first release built for sale: the application and its files now carry the final 0.7.8 version.
- Fixed a window-layout defect: at some text-scaling settings, minimizing and restoring the window left the header twice its height and pushed the page under the status area. The header height is now recalculated every time the window lays itself out.
- A new automated check minimizes and restores the real window ten times at five text-scaling settings and refuses the release if anything drifts.
- Every packaged document is now checked for broken punctuation encoding before a package is produced.
0.7.7 — Clearer for beginners
- The status chips now say what they are about: “Game protection: Not started” or “Game protected — every saved file checked”, and “Saved-copy location: Ready, with enough space”.
- While a copy is running, a short hint explains that you can keep waiting and that Stop Safely is only for cancelling.
- The Recovery Card screen opens by explaining why the card matters and when it is needed.
0.7.6 — My Builds where you need it
- The button for choosing or connecting another game moved onto the My Game card, beside the game currently being protected.
- Packaging now builds the shared package from an allow-list, so developer-only material cannot travel with it, and a separate check refuses any package that fails that rule.
0.7.5 — Ready for private testing
- Recovery Card wording now leads with paper: write it down or print it, and never paste it into an AI chat.
- Saving the card as a file warns first when that file would stay on the same computer.
0.7.4 — The gold trim
- The finished look: gold used sparingly, on the moments that are actually protected.
0.7.3 — If you forget your PIN
- The Recovery Card arrived: six words and four digits, made on your computer with no internet, shown once.
- Every PIN box gained an “I Forgot My PIN” option. Using the card lets you choose a new PIN, and no AI helper gains any recovery power.
0.7.2 — Documentation truth
- Guides and in-app wording corrected so they describe what the application actually does.
0.7.1 and 0.7.0 — Becoming Fate Tracker
- The application became Fate Tracker Build Memory: same application, same data, new name and look.
- Visual corrections so text stays readable at larger text sizes.
