How Fate Tracker handles information — which, for the application itself, is a short story.

In force from 12 September 2026. This revises the 9 September 2026 version, which said the website used no analytics and no advertising. It now does, and the section below says what that means. The application is unchanged. Purchases are handled by Gumroad as merchant of record. The full policy text below is the provider’s own; it is not legal advice.

The application

  • Fate Tracker Build Memory runs entirely on your own Windows computer.
  • It has no network features: no account, no sign-in, no cloud service, no telemetry, no analytics, no advertising, and no uploads.
  • Your game projects, your protected copies, your decisions, your lessons, and your safety PIN stay on drives you choose.
  • Your safety PIN is stored only as a scrambled fingerprint, and is never transmitted anywhere.
  • Your Recovery Card is generated on your computer without internet access and is shown to you once.
  • Nothing found inside a project is executed or obeyed by the application.
  • If you connect a local AI assistant to the application’s local connector, the assistant can read your project’s status, brief, protected paths and change comparison, and can leave a note in your local inbox. The connector runs only on your computer and has no network code, but the assistant may send what it reads to its own cloud provider under its own settings. Fate Tracker does not control that.

This website

This website uses analytics and advertising measurement. The application does not, and nothing here changes that: it still has no telemetry and makes no network connections.

  • Website analytics. Visits and page views are counted, along with the page you arrived from, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your browser and device type. This shows which pages are read and which are ignored.
  • Advertising measurement. While Fate Tracker is advertising, the advertising network’s measurement pixel runs on these pages. It reports which visits and purchases followed an advertisement, and the network may use it to show you Fate Tracker advertising elsewhere. Reddit is the first network used.
  • How that is done. These use cookies, pixels and similar browser storage, and they share the information above with the companies providing them, under those companies’ own privacy policies.
  • Infrastructure. The site is served by Cloudflare, which may process ordinary request data (address, page, time, browser) for security and operation under its own privacy policy.
  • Fonts. The pages load two web-font files from Google Fonts. Google states that this service sets no cookies, receives your IP address, the requested address and browser headers including the requesting page, and does not use that information for profiling or advertising.

What is running today

This list is dated whenever it changes, so you can check it against what your browser actually loads.

  • 12 September 2026, evening. Cloudflare, Google Fonts, and the Reddit advertising pixel (pixel id a2_jo7yqcwfjfja, script loaded from redditstatic.com). The pixel is not part of the pages themselves. The site’s server adds it to a page only when all of the following are true: your connection is not from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Switzerland or Canada; your browser is not sending the Global Privacy Control signal; and you have not switched it off with the control below. If the server cannot tell where a connection is from, it adds nothing. On the purchase-complete page the pixel also reports that a purchase happened and its price, with no name, email or order number.
  • 12 September 2026, morning. Cloudflare and Google Fonts only. No analytics or advertising script was live.

Your choices

  • You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser, or use a content blocker. Every page of this site works without them.
  • If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, this site treats it as a refusal and adds no advertising pixel, wherever you are.
  • Because advertising measurement can follow you to other sites, this site no longer tells you it leaves you untracked across the web.
  • To ask what is held about you, or to ask for it to be deleted, write to [email protected].

Advertising measurement in this browser: checking…

Switching it off sets one cookie, named ft_ads, on fatetracker.com only. It tells the server not to add the pixel, holds nothing else, and lasts a year. Clearing your cookies removes it, and so does the second button.

Cloudflare states that it is a processor for content passing through its network, publishes its sub-processor list and a data processing addendum, and is certified under the EU-US, Swiss-US and UK Data Privacy Frameworks. The provider does not download or keep Cloudflare’s request logs. Visitors in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and several United States jurisdictions have additional rights over advertising cookies, including being asked before non-essential cookies are set. Rather than show a consent banner, this site adds no advertising pixel at all for connections from the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Switzerland and Canada, honours the Global Privacy Control signal everywhere, and gives everyone else the switch above. This page is under legal review.

Buying through Gumroad

  • Purchases are made through Gumroad, the merchant of record. Its checkout and payment providers process the contact, payment, billing and tax details needed for your transaction, handle applicable transaction tax, issue the receipt and deliver the download, under Gumroad’s own privacy policy.
  • Fate Tracker never receives your card details.
  • The order information shown to the provider is what Gumroad presents on its seller order record and receipt, such as the order number, the product, your email address and the amounts paid. Full card numbers are never available to the provider. Order, refund and payout records are kept for seven years after the end of the purchase’s tax year, then reviewed for deletion. Support correspondence follows the 24-month rule below.

Support email

If you write to support, your email address and message are received by Cloudflare Email Routing and forwarded to the provider’s Gmail mailbox, then read by the provider. Ordinary closed correspondence is kept for 24 months and reviewed for deletion each quarter. Never send a safety PIN, a Recovery Card or your project’s contents; support will never ask for them, and an accidentally sent secret is removed from active records when found.
